REDUNDANCY The Collective Redundancies and Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment (Amendment) Regulations and the Employment Rights Act place a legal responsibility on employers to ensure that redundancies are handled carefully, fairly and objectively and to follow correct procedures, such as: - consulting those employees who may be affected - providing employee representatives or the employees with information concerning proposed redundancies and - giving correct periods of notice to those employees who are to made redundant.
